On Thursday, February 24, 2005, at approximately 5:20 am, Jamar Parker was shot to death in the 1900 block of Naylor Road, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Sunday, February 20, 2005, at approximately 11 pm, police were called to the 200 block of 62nd Street, NE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, Shawn Starling, suffering from gunshot wounds.

On Sunday, January 16, 2005, at approximately 10:15 pm, David Zephyrin was found suffering from gunshot wounds, lying in the hallway of 2410 Hartford Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at approximately 11:15 pm, Frank Jones was shot to death in front of 4204 4th Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Monday, January 10, 2005, at approximately 3:45 am, police were called to 4315 3rd Street, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival police located 25-year-old Anthony Randolph Jr. suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body.
On Tuesday, January 5, 2005, at approximately 1:00 am, Zachary M. Jackson was shot while driving his vehicle on the 11th Street Bridge, SE. He died from complications on February 23, 2005.
In 2004, even as total homicides decreased 20% and overall violent crime almost 14% in the District of Columbia, juvenile homicides climbed sharply. Twenty-four youth (age 17 and younger) were killed in the District last year, compared to 13 in 2003 and 17 in 2002.
