MPD Searching for Suspect in Southeast Shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a Southeast shooting.

On Friday, August 30, 2024, at approximately 3:18 p.m., officers responded to the 3400 block of 13th Place, Southeast, for the report of a vehicle being struck by a bullet. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting but no victims. A short time later, a man arrived at a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Detectives determined the victim was injured in the 13th Place Southeast incident.

Anyone who can identify this suspect or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
