MPD Arrests Suspect in Armed Robbery

– Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announce the arrest of a suspect involved in an armed robbery in Southeast.

 

On Monday, May 13, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the suspects approached the victim in the 200 block of 37th Place, Southeast, and demanded the victim’s moped. When the victim refused, the suspects physically assaulted and pointed a gun at the victim. The suspects then pulled the victim off the moped and fled with the victim’s property.

 

As a result of the detectives’ investigation, a 15-year-old juvenile male of Southeast, DC was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.

 

This case remains under investigation. Anyone who has any information about this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
