Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announce the arrest of a man for a shooting that occurred in Southeast.
On Thursday, March 7, 2024, at approximately 2:15 p.m., the suspect and the victim were arguing in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, Southeast. The suspect threatened the victim, brandished a handgun, and then shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, 30-year-old Keith Walker of Southwest, DC, turned himself in to the Seventh District Police Station. He was arrested pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
