Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District have arrested a man after a shooting leaving one person injured.
On Friday, August 18, 2023, at approximately 4:38 p.m., the victim approached Seventh District officers stating that he had been shot, in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King JR Avenue, Southeast. After the incident the suspect then fled the location on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 31-year-old Manaen Hines, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
