Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect and a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in the 700 block of H Street, Northeast.
At approximately 8:10 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s property. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, described as a 1999 Ford Taurus Station Wagon last seen displaying DC handicap tags HP21612, were captured by nearby surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below:

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
