Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Robbery Suppression Unit announce arrests have been made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in the 4000 Block of Chaplin Street, Southeast.
At approximately 4:45 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and took the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, 18-year-old Khalib Jones, of Suitland, MD, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun) and a 13-year-old juvenile male, of Landover, MD was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (Passenger).
