Suspect Sought in a First-Degree Sexual Abuse While Armed (Knife) Offense: 1100 Block of 2nd Street, Southeast

  1. from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to First Degree Sexual Abuse while Armed (Knife) offense that occurred on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in the 1100 block of 2nd Street, Southeast.

 

At approximately 4:30 am, the suspect approached the victim with a knife, in the hallway of a residential building, at the listed location. The suspect engaged in an unwanted forced sexual act with the victim then fled the scene.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 60 years old, and approximately 5’7” in height. He was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, gray sweatpants and black ski mask.

 

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia
