Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, May 22, 2022, in the 1300 block of 7th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 1:59 pm, members of the Third District responded to the listed location of the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo below:
