Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Carjacking Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in the 800 block of Chesapeake Street, Southeast.
At approximately 2:59 am, the suspects approached the victim, who was a rideshare driver, at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a knife and ordered the victim to exit the vehicle. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle has been recovered.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 14-year-old juvenile female, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking.
