Arrest Made in Multiple Burglary Offenses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Burglary offenses that occurred at the following locations:

Fifth District:

  • Burglary II: On Monday, January 7, 2019, in the 2700 block of 12th Street, Northeast, at approximately 12:55 pm, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect stole property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-004-014
  • Burglary II: On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the 1200 block of Oates Street, Northeast, between 8:00 am and 11:25 am on Saturday, January 12, 2019, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect then fled the scene. CCN: 19-007-011
  • Burglary II: On Thursday, January 10, 2019, in the 1200 block of Owen Place, Northeast, at approximately 11:12 am, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect stole property and fled the scene. CCN: 19-005-754
  • Burglary II: On Thursday, January 10, 2019, in the 1200 block of Oates Street, Northeast, between 4:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence at the listed location. The suspect took property then fled the scene. CCN: 19-006-396

On Friday, April 19, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 29 year-old Derrick Counts, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with four counts of Burglary Two.
