On Saturday, July 16, 2005, at approximately 3:00 am, Esayas Gebeyhu was assaulted in the 1900 block of 12th Street, NW. Mr. Gebeyhu was transported to the hospital, where he died Tuesday, July 26 of his injuries.
On Sunday, July 10, 2005, at approximately 5:54 am, Marcus Yeager was shot to death at 3522 22nd Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.

On Sunday, June 12, 2005, at approximately 2:30 am, Michael Anthony West was shot to death in the 2500 block of 14th Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Saturday, June 4, 2005, at approximately 12 noon, Julian Jimenez was found on a playground in the 300 block of Evarts Street, NE. He had been shot to death. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at approximately 1:00 am, police were called to the rear alley of 6711 Georgia Avenue, NW, just behind the Motel 6. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, Todd Hawkins, suffering from a gunshot wound.
On Tuesday, May 23, 2005, at approximately 10:15 pm, William Jones was shot and killed in the 400 block of Newcomb Street, SE. The suspect in this shooting is described as a black male wearing a dark-colored security guard uniform wth a white shirt.
