Under Chief Lanier’s direction, MPD introduced several initiatives and programs to improve public safety. Following are some of the highlights from these successful and innovative new measures.
On Thursday, April 3, 2008, at approximately 5:50 pm, Jermaine Chambers was shot and killed in while sitting in a white Lexus in front of 885 Chesapeake Street, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at approximately 9:52 pm, Tory Wilcher was shot and killed in front of 841 19th Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Monday, March 31, 2008, at approximately 10:09 pm, James Kilgore was found in a gold 4-door 2000 Buick, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Sunday, March 23, 2008, at approximately 10:30 pm, Antonio Andre Ingraham was shot and killed in the 600 block of Morton Street, NW. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Sunday, March 16, 2008, between Midnight and 2:07 am, Ryan Harris was shot and killed in the 3100 block of Apple Road, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information
regarding this incident.
On Saturday, March 15, 2008, at approximately 10:27 pm, Reginald Gaither was killed in the unit block of Evarts Street, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On March 2, 2008, at approximately 3:37 am, Jermaine Tinch was killed on the 3600 block of New York Avenue, NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at approximately 12:26 am, Orville Fuller was shot and killed in the 2700 block of Randolph St., NE. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
On Friday, February 8, 2008, at approximately 11:55 pm, Kenneth Morris was found in the rear of 5050 A Street, SE, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later died as a result of these injuries.
