Employers may not ask about arrests, criminal accusations, criminal convictions or other criminal background-related questions during the application or interview process.* Employers can ask only about criminal convictions after a conditional job offer is made, and job offers can only be revoked for legitimate business purposes.** Alleged violations of the law can be filed using this Type B complaint form.
