On Monday, November 12, 2007, at approximately 10:30 pm, Seventh District Officers responded the 900 block of Whaler Place, SE, for the report of a shooting. Arriving on the scene, officers located Lonell Thomas lying in the 800 block of Yuma Street, SE, suffering from gunshot wounds. On Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 8:49 pm, Thomas died from his injuries.
The case is under investigation by members of the Department’s Violent Crimes Branch.
