Chief of Police Charles H. Ramsey today announced that the reward offer in the shooting death of 9-year-old Donte Manning has now been increased to up to $100,000.

At approximately 9:46 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2005, 9-year-old Donte Manning was the innocent victim of a shooting, as he played with friends in front of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 /?>2620 13th Street, NW. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died as a result of his injury on April 26, 2005.
The case is being investigated by members of the Metropolitan Police Department's Violent Crimes Branch, Major Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the MPDC's Special Victims Unit.
The reward in this case has now been increased to up to $100,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this murder. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
