Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating an undetermined death which occurred in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast.

On Sunday, November 2, 2014 at approximately 4:56 am, DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to a call for a fire in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast. Upon arrival, they located an unidentified female inside of the vacant dwelling. The decedent was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of the death.

The decedent is currently unidentified.

The investigation is ongoing.
