Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced two arrests have been made in the fatal shooting that occurred in the 5400 block of Hunt Place, Northeast, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
At approximately 11:44 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, inside of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The victim remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 27-year-old Arthur Thompkins III, of no fixed address.
On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 29-year-old Tyron Harris, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
On Thursday, December 7, 2017, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28-year-old Markale Moore, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed.
