Traffic Fatality: 16th Street & Good Hope Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Unit are investigating a traffic fatality which occurred at the intersection of 16th Street & Good Hope Road, Southeast.

On , July 31, 2014, at approximately 11:05 am, an SUV was turning left from Good Hope Road onto southbound 16th Street, Southeast when a motorcycle, that was traveling east on Good Hope Road, SE, collided with the SUV.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 20 year-old Queshawn Sexton of Southeast, Washington DC.

This crash is currently under investigation.
