Suspect Sought in Northwest Hotel Robbery

At approximately 3:37 am, on Monday, January 23, 2006, a lone male entered the Comfort Inn hotel located at 1201 13th Street, NW. Once inside, he covered his face, produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect jumped over the counter, rifled the register and fled with cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'7" to 5'8" tall, approximately 150 pounds, with a light complexion. He was las seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, black scull cap and black scarf.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099. The Department currently offers a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
