Suspect Sought in a Misdemeanor Sexual Abuse Offense: 1100 block New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sexual Assault Unit seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a Misdemeanor Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in the 1100 block New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 8:01 am, the victim was walking at the listed location. The suspect approached the victim from behind and engaged in sexual contact with the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-40 years in age, 5’9’’-5’10’’ in height with a skinny build. The suspect had facial hair and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, baseball hat, and light colored pants. The suspect may have a tattoo on his left arm. The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the below photos.
