Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with a First Degree Sexual Abuse that occurred in the 900 block of Kennedy Street, Northwest, on Sunday, October 12, 2014, between 2:30 am and 3:00 am.

The initial investigation had indicated that the sexual assault occurred in a taxi cab. However, further investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the 900 block of Kennedy Street, Northwest when she was approached and sexually assaulted by the suspect and no DC taxi cab was involved.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 30s, 5'7 to 5'8" in height.
