Suspect sought in bank robbery

On Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 10:52 am, an unidentified subject entered the Capital One Bank at 336 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, approached a bank employee and demanded money. The employee complied with the subject’s demand. The subject fled the bank with an undetermined amount of money belonging to the banking establishment.

The subject is described as a black male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’7”-5’8” in height, weighing 190- 200 lbs, with a mustache and beard, dark complexion, and wire framed glasses. He was wearing a light colored hat with a black and grey design, a bulky black coat, and light colored gloves.

This case is being investigated by the Department’s Robbery Task Force and FBI Bank Squad. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call (202) 727-9099. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
