Suspect Sought in an Armed Robbery of an Establishment

Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a robbery suspect.

Detectives assigned to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District are seeking the public’s assistance in attempting to identify and locate a suspect wanted in connection with an Armed Robbery of an establishment that occurred on December 9, 2010.


At approximately 4:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2010, the suspect entered a supermarket located on the 4400 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>14th Street, NW.  The lone suspect posed as a paying customer, produced a black semi – automatic handgun, and announced a robbery to the clerk at the service window.


The suspect in this case is described as a medium build, medium complexioned black male, approximately early 30’s years of age, 5’9” in height, 140-160 pounds, wearing a olive green coat and pants, dark colored baseball cap and armed with a handgun. He was last seen on foot, southbound on 14th Street, NW.


Anyone who has knowledge of this case, knows the suspect’s identity or sees him should take no action, but should immediately call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM [E] – 1-888-919-2746. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.


Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to DC Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. If the information provided by the caller to Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
