Suspect Arrested in Robbery of Establishment: 3000 block of MLK Jr Avenue, SE

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced that an arrest has been made in connection with the Robbery of an Establishment in the 3000 block of MLK Jr Avenue, SE.

On Thursday, August 9, 2012 at approximately 6:12 pm, two subjects entered the City Beats shoe store located in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE. The suspects, armed with a handgun, announced a robbery and robbed the establishment of boxes of shoes and US currency.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 21-year old Irv Duff of no fixed address, was arrested pursuant to a DC Superior Court Arrest warrant charging him with Armed Robbery.

A second suspect is still being sought.  The second suspect is described as a black male in early 20s, 5’9”–5’11” tall, slim build, with a light complexion and short hair. He was last seen wearing: teal and gray shirt, blue jeans, and a black skull-cap.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
