Suspect Arrested in an Attempt Sexual Assault in the 4600 Block of Livingston Road, SE

The Metropolitan Police Department has announced that an arrest has been made in the Assault with Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Assault that occurred in the 4600 block of Livingston Road, SE.

On Thursday, February 28, 2013, at approximately 9:30 am, an employee of the Harris Educational Center was working inside of the building when an unknown male approached her and attempted to sexually assault her.  The victim screamed and after a brief struggle, the victim was able to escape the suspect and call the police. 

Members of the Seventh District responded and the suspect was stopped and placed under arrest.

The suspect is identified as 20-year-old Jamal Coleman of Ft. Washington, Maryland.  He is charged with Assault with the Intent to Commit First Degree Sexual Assault.
