Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Alabama Avenue SE.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
At approximately 12:30 am on Monday, March 22, 2010, officers assigned to the Seventh District responded to the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue, SE for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Jordan DeAnthony Howe of the 3200 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE.
A second shooting victim was also transported to an area hospital. That victim’s identity is being withheld at this time, because he is considered to be a witness in this case.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
