The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in attempting to locate a young child who is believed to be in the company of an adult female. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

The child who is identified as 6-year-old Rashaun Robinson was reportedly last seen at approximately 1:30 pm. on Monday, March 8, 2010, in the 2700 block of Naylor Road, SE. Investigators are examining the possibility that the child may be in the company of an adult female reportedly known to the mother, who may have taken the child without the parent’s permission. Both the child and the woman were reportedly last seen leaving the 2700 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Naylor Road, SE, on foot. 

Rashaun is a 6-year-old black male described as being 4’8” tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. He is further described as having a light to medium complexion with close cut style hair. He was reportedly last observed wearing a black and brown coat, a navy blue shirt and navy blue pants.  He is also reported to have been wearing black “Jordan” sneakers with yellow bottoms.

The adult female in question is identified as 29-year-old Rolanda Edgar. She is described as a black female, 5’8” tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. She is further described as having a medium complexion with long style “dreadlocks”.  It is reported that she has several tattoos, including a “scorpion” on the left side of her neck, a “star with the number 13” on the right side of her neck and a “heart” on the top of her right hand.  She was reportedly last observed wearing a tan zip-up jacket with a red shirt underneath.
