Persons of Interest Sought in an Assault With Intent To Kill

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in attempting to locate persons of interest in connection with an Assault With Intent To Kill that occurred in the 2400 block of Benning Road, NE.

On Saturday, January 26, 2013 at approximately 2:18 am, members of the Fifth District received a radio run for a shooting inside of an establishment in the 2400 block of Benning Road, NE. Investigation of the scene revealed five victims had been shot and were transported to area hospital for treatment.           

The suspect in this case is described as a 20-25 year-old black male, 5-feet-11 inches to 6 feet tall, with shoulder-length dreads and a full beard.  He was possibly wearing all black clothing and armed with a large silver revolver.

The Police Department is also looking to identify two people of interest in this case, as described below:

Male #1: wearing no shirt, blue jeans, black boxers and a dark skullcap.

Male #2: wearing a black top and braids pinned up.

Anyone who has knowledge of this case, knows the suspect’s identity or sees him should take no action, but should immediately call police at 202-727-9099. Additionally information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any assault committed in the District of Columbia.
