The Metropolitan Police Department and FBI Violent Crimes Task Force are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred at the Capital One Bank in the 900 block of New York Avenue, Northwest on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at approximately 3:43 pm.
The person of interest is described as black male, 40-45 years of age, approximately 5’10” in height, dark complexion, clean shaven, average build, wearing a black trench coat, black brim hat, black scarf, and carrying a black leather briefcase. He was last seen westbound on New York Avenue, Northwest. The person of interest can be seen in the photos below:
If you see this suspect, call 911 for immediate police response. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $5,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any bank robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
