The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of 37 year-old Matthew Shevlin of Northwest, DC.
On Friday, January 22, 2016, at approximately 9:52 am, members of the Third District received a call an assault in the 400 block of M Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, they located Matthew Shevlin suffering from a gunshot wound. D.C. Fire and Emergency Services transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a Homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
