The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a person of interest in connection with an assault with the intent to commit first degree sexual assault, which occurred in the area of the 3100 block of South Dakota Avenue, NE.
On Saturday, February 1, 2014, at approximately 4:30 am, the victim was walking in the area of South Capitol Street and Martin Luther King Jr Avenue, SW, when she accepted a ride from an unknown male suspect. The suspect drove the victim to a house in the 3100 block of South Dakota Avenue NE, where he demanded sex. The victim was able to break free and flee. The suspect re-entered his vehicle and then struck the victim with it before making good his escape.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his 40’s, approximately 5’11” to 6’0” in height, dark complexion, bald head, thick chest, slight facial hair, last seen wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt, and dark blue jeans. The vehicle is described as a dark blue or green sedan.
