The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two suspects wanted in connection with the robbery of the Minnesota Check Cashing store, which occurred on December 9, 2009. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>
On Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at approximately 9:00 am, two male suspects entered the Minnesota Check Cashing store, located at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>4055 Minnesota Ave NE. The suspects attacked and bound a store employee. Subsequently, the suspects obtained an undetermined amount of money and fled the scene in a vehicle described as a gray or greenish colored Hyundai Sonata sedan.
The employee was not seriously injured.
Suspect #1 is described as a medium – dark complexioned black male, 16-18 years of age, 5’9” – 6’0” tall with a slim build, wearing black clothing and black knit cap.
Suspect #2 is described as a medium – dark complexioned black male, 16-18 years of age, 5’9” – 6’0” tall with a slim build, wearing dark colored jeans, a gray jacket with black sleeves and a black knit cap.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $5,000 in this case for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for this robbery.
