Homicide in the Unit Block of Galveston Place, SW

Monday, November 21, 2005

At approximately 1 am on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, police were called to the unit block of Galveston Place, SW, for the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival they located 43-year-old Kenneth Brown, of the unit block of Galveston Place, SW, suffering from a gunshot wound to the body.  He was taken to the Howard University Hospital.  On Friday, November 18, 2005, he died as a result of his injury.

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.


The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
