Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting which occurred in the 1700 block of 27th Street, SE.
On Monday, October 22, 2012, at approximately 1:33 am, units from the Sixth District responded to the 1700 block of 27th Street, SE for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, they located the victim unconscious suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as 23-year old Robert Maurice Lesueur of Northeast, Washington, DC.
On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at approximately 5:55 pm, 21 year-old Ariston Jamal Dickson of Southeast, Washington, DC was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force pursuant to a DC Superior Court warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder in the shooting death of Robert Lesueur.
