At approximately 3:15 pm, on Sunday, May 14, 2006, Metropolitan Police were called to the corner of 9th and Jefferson Streets, NW, for the report of a man down. Upon arrival police located 43-year-old Marvin Kemp <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Jordan, of no fixed address, suffering from an apparent head injury. He was taken to the WashingtonHospitalCenter's MedStar Unit and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committee in the District of Columbia.
