Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 600 block of 42nd Street, Northeast on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at approximately 11:42 am.
Members of the Sixth District were directed to an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to an area hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injury and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 20-year-old Muhammad Washington of Northeast, D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
