Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the shooting fatal shooting that occurred in the 4900 block of East Capitol Street, Southeast on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at approximately 12:11 pm.

The decedent has been identified as 21 year-old Amari Jenkins of Southeast.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
