Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 4700 block of 1st Street, Southwest, on Tuesday, December 15, 2015.
At approximately 2:51 pm, members of the Seventh District were flagged down in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an adult male, unconscious, and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. D.C. Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where all lifesaving efforts failed.
The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Arthur Baldwin of Upper Marlboro, MD.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
