Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 3500 block of 14th Street, Northwest on Saturday, July 30, 2016.
At approximately 3:24 am, members of the Fourth District responded to the report of sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival on the scene, members located an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 29-year-old Edward Roberts Jr, of an unknown address.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
