Homicide: 3200 Block of 28th Street, Southeast

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 3200 block of 28th Street, Southeast on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at approximately 1:07 am.

Members of the Seventh District heard sounds of gunshots in the area, and while canvassing located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to an area hospital, where lifesaving efforts failed and he was pronounced dead.


The investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
