Homicide in the 2900 Block of Knox Place, SE

At approximately 3:59 am, on Monday, November 14, 2005, Metropolitan Police were called to investigate the report of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located 18-year-old Anthony Lucas, of the 2900 block of Knox Place, SE, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.  The victim was found in the hallway of the apartment building located at 2921 Knox Place, SE. The victim was subsequently transported to Prince George's Hospital Center and was pronounced dead on Tuesday, November 22, 2005.

The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
