Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2700 block of Langston Place, Southeast on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
At approximately 1:11 am, officers responded to the listed location for a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 34-year-old Delonta Alexander, of Southwest, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
