Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 2700 block of Bruce Place SE.
On Saturday, January 3, 2015, at approximately 3:51 am, a member of Seventh District responded to the sound of gunshots in the 2700 block of Bruce Place, SE, where an adult male was located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 35-year-old Rahji Jerod Ross, of Southeast, DC. The suspects are described as two black males wearing all black clothing and masks.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
