Homicide 2600 block of Douglas Place Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the homicide that occurred in the 2600 block of Douglas Place, Southeast.

On Saturday, July 4, 2015, at approximately 11:09 pm, officers from the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 2600 block of Douglas Place, Southeast.  The investigation revealed that three adult male victims, each suffering from a gunshot wound, had been taken to local hospitals.  A fourth adult male victim, also suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to a local hospital by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel.  Three victims were admitted for treatment.  One victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 23-year-old Dwayne Gene Dillard of Southeast, Washington, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
