Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2500 block of 14th Street, Northeast on Friday, September 2, 2016.
At approximately 12:39 am, members of the Fifth District responded to a call for a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male, unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and determined that there were no signs consistent with life.
The decedent has been identified as 28-year-old Lamar Purnell Parrish of Northeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
