At approximately 2:56 am, on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, police were called to the front of 2400 Pomeroy Road, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located 43-year-old Eric John Edley of the 1400 block of 28th Street in Arlington, Virginia, suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He was taken to the George Washington University Hospital and pronounced dead at 7:51 am.
The case is under investigation by members of the department's Violent Crimes Branch.
