Homicide: 2400 Block of Elvans Road, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast, on Monday, January 16, 2017.

At approximately 10:16 am, members of the Seventh District were flagged down in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult female and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals where the adult female victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 68-year-old Vivian Marrow of Southeast, DC.

The adult male was admitted in stable condition.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
