Homicide in the 2400 Block of 17th Street, NE

At approximately 9:49 pm on Saturday, December 17, 2005, Metropolitan Police opfficers on routine patrol located the body of 32-year-old Momar Jackson, of the 7200 block of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /?>Jaywick Avenue in Fort Washington, Maryland, lying in the roadway in the 2400 block of 17th Street, NE. He was suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head.  DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene but found no signs consistent with life.  Mr. Jackson was taken to the DC Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and pronounced dead.

The case is under investigation by members of the MDPC's Violent Crimes Branch.  Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.


The department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
