Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday, March 24, 2018, in the 2300 Block of Good Hope Road, Southeast.
At approximately 9:27 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male, inside of a residence. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and determined the male displayed no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
On Sunday, March 25, 2018, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be a gunshot wound. The manner of death was ruled a Homicide
The decedent has been identified as 48-year-old Sean Anderson, of Southeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
